End2End strengthens value proposition for non-operator customers through acquisition of brodos messaging

End2End, Europe’s leading provider of turnkey Managed Service Solutions for mobile operators, portals and handset manufacturers, today announced that it has concluded the acquisition of brodos messaging, a business unit of Brodos AG.

Brodos AG develops and markets business applications for mobile messaging through brodos messaging, as well as pre-paid systems through brodos CashUp. Brodos AG is a privately held company, which had sales of €75 million in 2002.

brodos messaging has established itself among the leading SMS connectivity and solution providers in Europe, delivering single point access to over 350 GSM, CDMA and TDMA networks around the world to customers such as Lycos Mobile, Citibank, Motorola, SAP, Masterfoods and Bertelsmann.

End2End’s acquisition of brodos messaging includes the assets of the business unit such as customer contracts and service delivery infrastructure in Germany, as well as employees. brodos messaging will become a division of End2End and continue to operate under the leadership of Mr. Frank Stöcker, headquartered in Baiersdorf, Germany.

“We are excited to become part of End2End,” said Frank Stöcker, Director of brodos messaging. “Our customers will benefit significantly from the ability to expand into advanced data services, such as content downloads, through End2End’s market-proven Managed Service Solutions.”

The acquisition of brodos messaging strengthens End2End’s offering for portals, handset manufacturers and other non-operator customers, by providing a one-stop shop for turnkey solutions covering 2G, 2.5G and 3G services. By sourcing both market-proven Managed Service Solutions and connectivity from a single partner, non-operator customers will benefit from shorter time-to-revenue, faster ROI and lower Total Cost of Ownership.

“The acquisition of brodos messaging is a key step in strengthening our value proposition and solution offerings for non-operator customers, who will play a key role in expanding the market for data services,” explained Soren Ravn, Chief Executive Officer of End2End. “We see a strong demand for combined services, which we can now offer through the combination of brodos messaging’s SMS connectivity and End2End’s industry leading Managed Service Solutions such as content downloads. We also expect to see significant consolidation in the industry over the coming months and plan to actively participate in that process.”
