SONOFON launches SONOFON e•go with End2End

SONOFON, the second largest mobile operator in Denmark, today announced that it has launched SONOFON e•go together with End2End, Europe’s leading provider of turnkey Managed Service Solutions for mobile operators, portals and handset manufacturers.

SONOFON e•go is a branded user interface client that enables SONOFON’s end-users to quickly and easily identify and access a variety of content and services directly from the handset, rather than having to recall specific SMS short codes. The client is currently available for xHTML and Symbian Series 60 handsets, and will initially be provisioned by SONOFON “over-the-air”.

“SONOFON e•go will provide our customers with intuitive and easy access to data services, which we believe is vital to drive increased data usage and revenues,” said Steen Hogh, Director of the Market Division, SONOFON. “SONOFON e•go is an example of how End2End’s turnkey Managed Service Solutions and rapid implementation have enabled SONOFON to maintain a leadership position in this market and continually introduce new solutions that drive revenues.”

SONOFON e•go is powered by End2End’s Intelligent Client Solution, which is delivered as a managed service by End2End. The solution is based on SurfKitchen’s SurfKit Mobile platform, which is rapidly becoming the top choice for mobile operators looking to offer a branded user interface on Symbian and J2ME handsets.

“SONOFON’s launch of a branded user interface is yet another example of SONOFON’s commitment to continuously improve the user experience of data services,” said Soren Ravn, Chief Executive Officer, End2End. “We are happy to continue to expand our relationship with SONOFON through our cost-effective and revenue generating Managed Service Solutions that enable SONOFON to rapidly deliver new services to their customers.”

SONOFON and End2End will introduce additional features and functionality to SONOFON e•go within the coming months. Planned enhancements include the availability of the client for additional handset models, as well as one click service ordering from the client, which enables end-users to order new services quickly and easily directly from their handset.
