Product Manager, Consumer facing mobile data applications and services
Scope & Mission
End2End’s product management's focus is to provide a customizable standard product offering in order to maximize returns and meet customers' needs;
We do this by understanding market requirements 6 months or more in advance of them being needed, launching products and services that meet the needs of more than one customer and by working with development/engineering to ensure that developments are doable, scalable and are as flexible as possible.
- Understanding the needs of the market from sales input, research, customers and employees.
- Designing products which meet these needs and excite our customers.
- Ensuring that all the implications of launching a product are considered including customer care, training, product literature, sales aids etc..
- After the product is launched product management initiate upgrades which increase the functionality and generate further returns throughout the product's life cycle.
Main tasks for this position
- Develop product strategy & vision as well as assume complete product responsibility for End2End’s global mobile data application portfolio.
- Contribute to End2End’s corporate strategy via an industry leading, innovative and market driven Roadmap.
- Manage the entire product life cycle for End2End’s global mobile data applications, from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Own both the functional requirements and product roadmaps for all End2End’s mobile data applications.
- Provide global support for End2End’s strategic business development activities.
- Provide executive reporting to track performance of the global data applications product portfolio.
- Develop and present business case justification for all product developments and enhancements;
- Provide in-depth competitive analysis and product positioning.
- Lead both internal and external resources to deliver on committed product roadmaps.
- Identify potential partners with in the product area.
Professional & Personal Skills
Educational background:
- Bachelor Degree (4 year) in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or related field. Experience can be substituted for any and all of the Educational requirement.
Work experience:
- 10 plus years in the communications field, Data, Voice, and Mobility experience. Good understanding of the mobile data industry, technologies, business models etc.
Other requirements:
- Strong written and communication skills in English as well as ability to create professional proposals and other required documents during engagement process.
- Flexibility to deal with partner contacts in other time zones.
- Ability to work both in groups and independently.
- Ability to travel 4-8 days a month.
Location:
Aalborg, Denmark.
Reporting line:
Direct Report to VP, Product Management
Remuneration:
To be discussed separately based on qualifications of the applicant.
